Tell Regina City Council NO 10% TRANSIT HIKE!

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/petitions/photos/000/727/962/normal/Screenshot_2026-01-29_at_3.57.23%E2%80%AFPM.png</thumbnail_url>

Efficient cities move people. A 10% hike is a move in the wrong direction. For a student working a closing shift, a senior heading to a check-up, or a family choosing between a bus pass and groceries, the bus is a lifeline. A 10% fare hike is a real barrier. When we raise fares on a system that already charges the highest rates in the region, we aren't just balancing a budget; we are actively pricing our neighbours out of their own city. This campaign matters because: Public transit is a public good: Like our roads, parks, libraries, and emergency services, transit should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their income. Affordability is a right: In a city where winter is a matter of survival, being able to afford a ride out of the cold is a necessity, not a luxury. A better city for all: When transit is affordable and reliable, our streets are less congested, our air is cleaner, and our local economy thrives. We are writing these letters to remind City Council that a budget is a moral document. It shows who we value and who we are willing to leave behind. We choose a Regina that keeps its promises. We choose a Regina that moves together.
