When we raise fares on a system that already charges the highest rates in the region, we aren't just balancing a budget; we are actively pricing our neighbours out of their own city. This campaign matters because: Public transit is a public good: Like our roads, parks, libraries, and emergency services, transit should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their income. Affordability is a right: In a city where winter is a matter of survival, being able to afford a ride out of the cold is a necessity, not a luxury.
