Non-union wireless companies like Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless want the FCC to make big cuts in the rates they are charged to connect cell phone towers to high-capacity data networks. Reduced revenue would make it more difficult for telecom companies to invest in broadband networks, leading to job cuts for CWA members, especially in rural areas.
