In other recent contract settlements across the industry, Flight Attendants and other workgroups have not agreed to concessions. Our message to United management is clear: Get concessions off the table and stop the delay tactics. Management is proposing major concessions in our contract negotiations including a PBS system they’ve shown they have no ability to implement, longer duty days and less rest, healthcare takeaways, and a laundry list of provisions which would negatively impact our quality of work life and our careers. Just last week, management put new concessions on the table while reporting $1 billion in profit in the third quarter and announcing a $1.5 billion stock buyback.
