This will be the seventh execution to occur in Tennessee in the last 2 years. Sutton has changed in prison and has become a positive influence - such that he has intervened in several situations to save the lives of three prison guards. Governor Lee continues to ignore a letter asking him to come pray with the men on death row that was signed by 32 death row inmates (including Sutton) in Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.
