Yet right now, in a hidden roadside slaughter alley, dogs are still being butchered in secret. Every single day, two to four stray or stolen dogs are dragged into a concealed slaughter site. Their muzzles are bound. Their legs tied. They are killed out of sight — chopped up and barbecued on site. Their internal organs are cooked separately and sold by the pound. Based on intelligence gathered by the Animal Welfare Investigations Project, this single location is responsible for over 1,000 dogs being slaughtered every year. The alley where this happens has one way in and one way out. No escape. No witnesses. Even our undercover informants are terrified. Multiple sources have withdrawn after warning they feared being killed — or that the operator would retaliate against their families. This is how violent and organised this operation is.
