Allies in Action 3:30pm for 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday 19 July 2026 Church of the Trinity, 318 Goodwood Road, Clarence Park 5034 Have you ever wondered: - What can Allyship with Aboriginal Peoples look like? - How do I move beyond good intentions into meaningful action? - How do I build genuine relationships based on respect, listening and reciprocity? - How can I contribute to creating culturally safer spaces where Aboriginal voices are heard, respected and elevated? Join Unley Allies for an afternoon of connection, conversation and learning as we gather around these questions together. Facilitated by Jade Brook, proudly Kaurna and Nharrunga, founder of Third Camp and recipient of the South Australian Active Citizen of the Year Award 2024, this gathering invites participants to connect more deeply with Aboriginal perspectives, stories and ways of knowing, being and doing. Guided by Third Camp's framework of Healing, Connecting and Knowing, we will create a space where relationships come first and participants are invited to reflect on their role in supporting meaningful change. Whether you are at the beginning of your Allyship journey or have been walking this path for many years, this gathering offers an opportunity to go deeper into your layers of learning, connect with others, challenge assumptions and consider what walking well alongside Aboriginal Peoples looks like in practice. We believe Allyship begins with relationships. The deeper our relationships become, the deeper our responsibility to listen, learn, adapt and act. Together we will: • Connect with Aboriginal perspectives and lived experiences • Reflect on Allyship in practice • Challenge assumptions and rethink approaches • Consider practical actions that support reconciliation, respect and self-determination • Build relationships with others committed to walking well alongside Aboriginal Peoples Allyship is not about speaking for Aboriginal Peoples. It is about creating space for Aboriginal voices to be heard, respected and elevated. Through story, yarning and hands on learning experiences, participants will be invited to consider how we walk alongside Aboriginal Peoples not in front, not instead of, but in relationship. Arrive from 3:30pm to connect with others and enjoy refreshments, including Indigenous food tasting experiences, before the gathering begins at 4:00pm. Ensure your place in this gathering by securing your ticket to this event. We look forward to seeing you at this event! Share this with your friends, colleagues, family and community. Complimentary entry for First Nations Peoples. If you have any questions or if you or your organisation is interested in supporting this event please email info@unleyallies.org
