Together we work to transform the budget, the policymaking process, and DC! We are always pushing to shift power and resources to the people. As a member of the Fair Budget Coalition, you have helped drive this process: you have developed and supported our FY25 #SafetyIs budget recommendations, testified and taken action. We have collectively pushed the Council to make a significantly better budget than the inexcusable, harmful budget the mayor proposed. We have many wins to celebrate, as well as some bitter losses that inspire us to even more strategic and transformative work next budget season. On Thursday, June 27 join FBC staff and leadership at Hook Hall for a reception honoring your work and our coalition. At this mixer, we will recognize outstanding member-leaders for their service and enjoy some time together as a community dedicated to creating true, equitable, just change in the DC budget. Please join us for this event recognizing the hard work and engagement this budget season. To attend, each (non-coalition member) registrant is asked to make a small donation of a minimum of $25.00 though interested individuals can make donations in excess of the $25.00 dollar minimum donation by buying one of our supporter admission tickets with varying donation amounts ($50, $75, $100). Donations received from attendees will go towards supporting the Fair Budget Coalition's Constituent Leadership Program (CLP). FBC’s Constituent Leadership Program was created to center the voices of DC residents who are impacted by racial inequity, poverty and systematic racism through a 10-month program training participants how to be effective advocates in their community. Please contact our Membership & Operations Coordinator, April Davis via email at april@fairbudget.org, if you have any questions.
