2020 Knox PECCA Petition

Knox County Board of Education

Dear Knox County Educators:

The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU aka contract) between the professional employees of Knox County Schools and the Knox County Board of Education will expire soon. In order to negotiate a successor agreement, we must show that the professional employees of Knox County wish to continue engaging in the collaborative conferencing process. By law, we must submit petition signatures to the Knox County Board of Education at the October board meeting. We will be collecting signatures on our online petition through September 30, 2020.

Please sign our online petition and share the link to the petition on your social media page(s).  Please do not post on social media during the instructional day (including your planning and lunch periods). If you have questions about this process, you may submit inquiries to our TEA UniServ Coordinator, Jason White at jwhite@tnea.org or 865-340-3839. Additionally, more information will be provided to you in the future as this process moves forward.

Thank you for the dedication you show every day in the classroom and for supporting the initiation of collaborative conferencing.

Sincerely,

Tanya Coats, President, KCEA
