Jason Brown

Jason Brown was one of the NFL's rising stars. In 2009, he signed a $37.5 million dollar contract with the St. Louis Rams making him the highest paid center in all football.

But at 29 years old, he retired from professional football to take up farming. Specifically, he bought 1,000 acres in North Carolina to grow food for people in need.

His agent told him he was making the worst decision of his life, but he did it because it was the right thing to do.
