the U.S. government and Congress

Government agencies like the FBI and NSA want Apple--and almost certainly all cellphone makers--to provide a security bypass into cellphones. Their argument is national security.

The problem is that by creating this vulnerability, cellphones will not only be open to the government, but to skilled hackers and nations around the world--think Russia and China, to name a few.

Additionally, it's easy to predict this demand won't stop at cellphones. Once the precedent is set, it could be applied to your tablets, laptops, cars, smart tvs and home devices.

With all of the sensitive data stored on our devices or linked to accounts on our devices, we can't allow the U.S. government to demand unfettered access--once they set the precedent, there is no going back.

Please add your name telling the U.S. government and congressional supporters that this idea is unacceptable.

Requiring backdoor access to cellphones is unacceptable. The public stands against this practice and supports all manufacturers who refuse to comply with this dangerous request.
