Congress has legislation to build Medicare For All, and thanks to passionate advocates and meticulous policy-makers the first hearing before the Rules Committee was a huge success. Stephanie Kang will give an overview of HR 1384 and what it could mean for patients and health care providers. Dr. Sriram is the Senior Advisor on Medicaid at Social Security Works, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and expansion of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. He will discuss how Medicare For All will contribute to racial justice.

Dr. Sriram also spearheads the All Means All campaign at Social Security Works. The goal is to make racial equity and the elimination of minority health disparities a cornerstone of Medicare For All and policies to reduce prescription drug prices. The campaign is recruiting volunteers, and this webinar will describe our upcoming endeavors.
