If this President expects our respect as citizens and Representatives, then he should be respectful to our fellow Americans. All Americans, no exceptions.

The person in the Oval Office is normally a model citizen who shows our children how we should talk to each other and behave towards each other in our country.
Trump’s behavior in the White House is not normal.

Trump has shown us repeatedly, most recently with his vulgar statements about other countries, that he cannot be trusted to act with civility and respect. The legitimacy of his Presidency is also questionable because of the interference of the Russian government in last year’s election.

For these reason, we call on all members of Congress - Democrats, Republicans, and Independents - to boycott the 2018 State of the Union address. Thank you.
