Petition: Australia must end its support for Israel's genocidal apartheid regime
Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
Eleven Australians along with 417 other flotilla volunteers were just released after being taken hostage by Israel in international waters and imprisoned for over three days, because they dared to attempt to deliver aid to Gaza. They report horrific abuse and torture while in Israeli captivity.
Imagine what the 9000+ Palestinian prisoners are going though without a Western passport and without the world watching. Imagine what the millions of Palestinians in Gaza are going through when this is the length Israel will go in order to deny aid and food from them.
Australia cannot continue to provide political, financial and logistical support to a state that kidnaps our citizens and continues to commit a genocide and aid blockade in Gaza.
Right now, humanitarian aid into Gaza is under heavy Israeli supervision and shipments of food, medical aid, water purification supplies and other essential goods are routinely turned away at checkpoints for arbitrary reasons. UN agencies have stressed that people in Gaza are enduring high levels of malnutrition and rely on a steady flow of humanitarian goods from outside, given the limited storage capacity and destruction of livelihoods after twoa nd a half years of genocide.
Delivering aid is not a crime
Blocking aid is.
Sign this petition now to pressure Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to condemn the aid blockade, sanction Israel and impose an arms embargo now.

We, as concerned citizens and residents of Australia, are deeply distressed by Israel's unlawful attack on Australians onboard Global Sumud Flotilla and confiscation of humanitarian aid. This is yet another blatant attack by Israel on food, medicine and fuel access forPalestinians in Gaza.
The Australian Government is obligated under international law to do all that is necessary and reasonable to bring an end to Israel’s ongoing illegal occupation and blocking of humanitarian aid.
We are demanding the Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese:
1. Condemn Israel for preventing life-saving aid from reaching Gaza;
2. Immediately impose economic and political sanctions on the state of Israel, and;
3. Obey international law and stop sending weapons to Israel including all parts and components and other dual-use items.
Anything short of this reinforces Australia's collaboration in Israel’s unfolding international crimes, as well as breaches of Australia’s own responsibilities under international law.
