We ask students, parents, and community partners to add their name to this petition to express support for the educators and staff of CoaH in our efforts to negotiate a fair contract for the schools and contract #StudentsDeserve.

We write to you in solidarity with the City on a Hill (CoaH) educators and staff who joined the Boston Teachers Union last year and are negotiating to secure their first contract. We know that schools are stronger when educators and staff are respected and have a voice, and that settling a fair contract soon is crucial for CoaH families and students.

We are parents, students and community members who believe that the working conditions of CoaH employees are directly connected to the learning environment of students.

CoaH’s mission statement stresses the importance of academic achievement and teacher leadership, and we believe that a strong contract will support this mission. CoaH educators and staff deserve to be compensated well, have good benefits and working conditions, and have the support and resources that keep them at CoaH.

We stand with educators and staff negotiating and organizing for this contract and look forward to hearing about the progress made at City on a Hill.
