We demand Just Money, End the privilege of commercial banks to create U.S. Money
US Congress

Our current system of money is structurally incapable of serving our people and planet. Earth is warming and its species, oceans, and ecosystems are dying. Our government and people are drowning in debt; wealth inequity is growing exponentially; wars are multiplying; and the money supply is bigger than ever. Yet we are told there is simply not enough money to care for our people and planet!
Given the above facts, it is absolutely necessary that we have in place the best money system, so we can have a sustainable market economy, and can fund responses to these and future appear. Unfortunately for our people and planet, the money system we currently have is not up to the task. Yet, we are stuck with it, because of the lack of societal understanding of our money system. Most people believe that:
- Our government creates our money.
- Banks loan us money that has already been created by our government.
- The Federal Reserve Banks are owned by our government.
- Requires Congress to be the sole creator of all U.S. money, as authorized in Article I Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution;
- Ends the privilege of commercial banks to create U.S. money; and
- Transfers control of the U.S. money supply from the banks back to the government.
The Alliance For Just Money is a coalition of organizations and people that come together to question the validity of our current monetary system and propose a reform for the People and by the People! Let's change our money, change our world! Just Money for a Just Transition! Now!

We, the People of the United States of America, call on Congress to replace our existing private monetary system with a public money system. To achieve this, federal legislation is needed that:
1 . Requires Congress to be the sole creator of all U.S. money, as authorized in Article I Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution;
2. Ends the privilege of commercial banks to create U.S. money; and
3. Transfers control of the U.S. money supply from the banks back to the government.
Passing and implementing this legislation, (the American Monetary Reform Act), will enable the US to achieve a Just, Sustainable, and Flourishing economy for all, both individually and collectively.
