Tell eBay and TCGplayer: Bargain fairly with workers!

eBay CEO Jamie Iannone and TCGplayer CEO Robert Bigler

Workers at eBay’s subsidiary, TCGPlayer, overwhelmingly won their union election to join the Communications Workers of America in March 2023. Since then, eBay has refused to respect their right to form a union and bargain a fair first contract. First, TCGplayer pursued legal stalling tactics to avoid recognizing their employees’ union. Now, TCGplayer representatives slow walk bargaining sessions, agree to meet only a few times a month, and send unserious proposals for the union to waive many of its basic rights. This is all intended to bog down the bargaining process and demoralize the workers of TCGplayer.

The National Labor Relations Board has found that eBay and TCGPlayer have:
  • Refused to recognize the results of the union election
  • Refused to provide information relevant to collective bargaining requested by the union
  • Ignored employees’ requests for union representation
  • Implemented unilateral changes to various terms and conditions of employment, while refusing to negotiate with the union regarding those changes.
The Communications Workers of America has filed even more complaints against TCGplayer for: punishing pregnant workers for taking too many breaks, installing cameras to give the impression of constant surveillance, and refusing to bargain with the union over the discipline of members.

eBay CEO Jamie Iannone and TCGplayer CEO Robert Bigler have the power and responsibility to change the company’s behavior and bargain fairly with its workers. Sign the petition to demand that eBay and TCGplayer treat its employees with respect and stop its campaign to stonewall negotiations with their employees.
