Eric Holder: Arrest a U.S. Banker
Eric Holder
As Attorney General Eric Holder resigns he wants us to believe that no bank is too big to jail.
But you wouldn’t know it from Eric Holder’s record.
Over five million families were foreclosed on since the financial crisis [1], many of them illegally. But despite defrauding so many Americans, Holder has failed to jail a single U.S. banker. He’s also failed to criminally prosecute a single U.S. bank.
The nation’s top cop shouldn’t ignore crimes committed by the nation’s biggest banks.
Here are just two blockbuster criminal cases that Eric Holder’s Justice Department could have tried…but didn’t [2]:
- Over 1,000 members of our military were illegally foreclosed on — a crime punishable by a year in prison per foreclosure.
- A mountain of evidence showed Goldman Sachs committed fraud in their “Abacus” deal. The case got lots of media attention, but no prosecutions.
Eric Holder doesn’t have much time left as the Attorney General of the United States. He owes it to the American public to send a strong message before he leaves.
Holder must send a U.S. banker to jail for the crimes of the crisis before leaving office.
In a legacy devoid of justice for the victims of the foreclosure crisis, it’s the least Holder could do.
