Regulators: Finish Dodd-Frank before the end of 2016

U.S. Financial Regulators

We don’t know what the November elections will bring. And neither do the financial regulators. That’s why it’s crucial that they finish up all the outstanding Dodd-Frank rules.

The unfinished ones include rules to restrict giant Wall Street bonuses and limits financial speculation in markets for real world commodities like oil or food.

When Dodd-Frank was passed, Wall Street lobbyists said it was just “halftime.” Then they got to work trying to weaken key provisions and delay the rules it called for. Don’t let the Wall Street lobbyists have the last word. Tell the regulators: finish the job, and complete Dodd-Frank in 2016.
