Support Faitrade and agree to use Fairtrade products
Weston Town & North Somerset Council
We want to make Weston a Fairtrade Town.
We want to join the Fairtrade mission to connect disadvantaged farmers and workers with consumers, promote fairer trading conditions and empower farmers and workers to combat poverty, strengthen their position and take more control over their lives.
Working to make Weston a Fairtrade Town is our way to join the mission and make it happen.
Goal 1 of achieving Fair Trade Town status is:
Local council passes a Resolution supporting Fair Trade and agreeing to use Fair Trade products.
Weston Town Council next meet on 25th January 2020.
Councillor for Milton, Pete McAleer is researching, pondering and writing a resolution and action plan as we sit here reading these words.
Get behind him and sign below so he can show the public support for this campaign.
If you're passionate about Fairtrade and want to get more involved, perhaps by speaking during public participation at the meeting, or joining the steering group please sign up so we can keep in touch, or email Pete directly for a chat.
