Got Power. Need Partnership.
Kaiser Permanente Leadership
Last fall, when Kaiser executives refused to listen, we bravely took a stand for patient care and frontline workers. After our historic three-day strike, we settled a landmark agreement that includes long-term solutions to the short-staffing crisis.
A year later, we need Kaiser Permanente to take action to bring the words of our new 2023 National Agreement to life.

Got Power. Need Partnership.
Almost one year ago our Partnership was unrecognizable, and, after 25 years, faced an unknown future.
Frontline workers faced severe burnout and struggled with inadequate pay while watching our patients wait too long for care. With no other options left, we initiated the largest healthcare worker strike in U.S. history, leading to a landmark settlement focused on workforce investments.
As the one-year anniversary approaches, it’s urgent we demonstrate tangible progress on our shared goals to stabilize our Partnership:
• Healthy staffing for union workers and Kaiser patients.
• Reduce registry usage, stop outsourcing, and engage labor early in restructuring.
• Upskill employees for hard-to-fill roles.
• Assure unit-based teams meet monthly.
• Show full support for the Joint Staffing process.
• Recognize SEIU Committee on Interns and Residents in the National Agreement.
• Regularly share PSP data and engage leadership on goal achievement.
Let’s turn our shared vision into reality and solidify our Partnership for the years to come. There is no time to waste.
