GREEN NEW DEAL FOR KERN COUNTY

Local Representatives

We, the Sunrise Movement - Kern County hub, are DEMANDING that every local representative acknowledge the climate emergency and support a Green New Deal and end our dependence on fossil fuels. For too long frontline communities, which are overwhelmingly Black and Brown community members, have to disproportionately feel the effects of climate emergency.

We will no longer accept our representatives facilitating a genocide on our people. Your compliance and silence, if not outright disagreement that the climate emergency needs to be addressed, is now VIOLENCE. We will take it as so. We, the community, are no longer asking, we are DEMANDING, that you support a Green New Deal. If you don't, get the hell out of our way and resign.

We respectfully ask that ONLY Kern County residents sign this petition so we can show our local representatives this petition.
