It's time to end partisan gerrymandering

Politicians and Supreme Courts

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania recently struck down the state’s Republican-drawn congressional maps as unconstitutional and ordered that they be redrawn. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear a challenge to the new maps, meaning Pennsylvania voters will get to vote in fair, un-gerrymandered districts this fall.

Now, PA State Representative Cris Dush has introduced a resolution impeaching five justices of Pennsylvania's state Supreme court, just because he didn't like their ruling on gerrymandering.

Cris Dush is also a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which brings legislators and corporations together behind closed-doors to write legislation that benefits corporate America and destroys democracy. It's time to end gerrymandering and protect democracy from organizations like ALEC.
