Justice for Teddy, dog chained so tight his head swelled to three times its normal size

BC Crown Council John C. Blackman

When authorities discovered Teddy chained up on a property in Duncan, BC, the dog was standing in a pile of mud and feces, unable to move more than a few inches.

Teddy was severely emaciated, and the tight chain was deeply embedded in his neck, creating a wound that grew so infected, Teddy's head had ballooned to 2 to 3 times its normal size.

Constables used bolt cutters to free Teddy, and rushed him to emergency care. But with the neck wound exposing his trachea and jugular vein, Teddy's condition was dire. Sadly, he died two days later.

Couple Anderson Joe and Melissa Tooshley now face charges for Teddy's abuse. We must speak out to ensure that the court takes this case of severe animal cruelty seriously.

Sign this petition urging Crown Council John C. Blackman to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, and call for a lifelong ban on either defendant ever owning an animal again.
