We know our city is stronger when we’re all able to afford a decent place to live. Increasingly, greedy landlords are buying up local housing stock and jacking up the rents for the people who are just trying to get by. And that's not right. It's bad for our families, our local economy, and the community institutions that rely on a local workforce and volunteer base.

It doesn't have to be this way. We're calling upon Lewiston city council to act quickly to put an end to rent gouging by unscrupulous landlords and limit how much our local rents can increase year to year.
