Make the 2020 Census count in Colorado

Colorado Legislature

The Census is conducted every 10 years to collect objective data about our nation’s communities. Getting this count right is critical to making sure our government works for everyone, as it shapes our state’s democracy, public policy, and funding for an entire decade.

Our 2019 legislative session is the only opportunity we have to ensure that there's adequate funding in Colorado to support a complete 2020 Census count. If the Census is inaccurate, we risk diminishing the voices of our citizens -- and losing vital resources from programs like SNAP, Medicaid, and Headstart.

We must make sure all Coloradans are fairly represented in the state house and in Washington for the next ten years. We can't afford to underfund this all-important count. Add your name and send a message to Colorado lawmakers NOW!

The U.S. Census must be a thorough, accurate count so our government can fairly represent all Americans -- and government agencies can base their resource allocation decisions on data and facts. That is why the 2020 Census must be properly funded here in Colorado.
