As reported in local media, the future of the MLS stadium and accompanying 10-acre development with a Community Benefits Agreement has been discussed with multiple private groups while our voices have been excluded. We know the community loses when deals are made in the dark. Metro’s approval of this project included the promise of affordable housing, good jobs, childcare, and cultural spaces in a transparent, public process. We expect the same today.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge Mayor Cooper to update our community on the progress of the approved Major League Soccer Stadium and associated 10-acre development and include the community in all meetings that affect the future of this project.
