New report says Trumpcare will cost 23 million people their healthcare

All U.S. Senators

A major achievement of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act is that it provides healthcare to more than 20 million low- and middle-income Americans by having the rich and big healthcare corporations pay a little more in taxes. In that way, it has decreased economic inequality even as it improves the nation’s health.

Trumpcare (or the American Health Care Act) would wipe out the progress we’ve made. Trumpcare will cost 23 million Americans their healthcare by 2026, according to a new analysis by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.

This is because Trumpcare hands a whopping $663 billion in tax breaks, mostly to millionaires, billionaires and big healthcare corporations. The tax breaks are paid for by slashing Medicaid and gutting financial support to help working families buy health insurance.

We demand that you reject Trumpcare, which is really a massive tax giveaway disguised as a healthcare bill.
