No Chick-fil-A Drive-Thru at Van Ness

District Department of Transportation Public Space Committee

Chick-fil-A plans to take over the Burger King site at 4422 Connecticut Avenue next to the Flagship Car Wash, and anticipates serving as many as 100 cars per hour at its drive-thru during peak hours. Allowing this many cars to enter and exit the drive-thru will create a hazardous environment for pedestrians.

The District Department of Transportation Public Space Committee will decide this matter on March 24, 2016.

If you care about making Van Ness a pedestrian-friendly, urban-oriented neighborhood, please sign the petition to oppose Chick-fil-A’s application to operate its drive-thru.

We oppose Chick-fil-A’s public space application (#116016) to establish a drive-thru facility at 4422 Connecticut Avenue, NW because the increased traffic will increase pedestrian hazards and impede goals of developing Van Ness into a safe and inviting walkable neighborhood.
