No Wisconsin Tax Dollars for Cash Enrollment Bribes!

The Wisconsin State Assembly, The Wisconsin State Senate

Educational Institutions in the State of Wisconsin should be able to attract students to their schools on the merit of their academic programs, not on the size of bribe they offer for enrollment.

The private Head Start operator, Acelero Learning, in Milwaukee is currently offering a $50 cash enrollment bribe to any parent or guardian who sends their k3-k5 students to the school. Public tax dollars should be used entirely for the endeavor of educating students, not recruiting new students. Please sign this petition demanding this practice be barred from any private voucher or charter operator in the State of Wisconsin. Publicly operated education institutions are not, nor should they be, allowed to offer cash bribes to fill enrollment goals.

I do not support my public tax dollars being used to entice parents into sending their children to private voucher and charter schools. Educational Institutions in the State of Wisconsin should be able to attract students on the merit of their academic programs, not on the size of bribe they offer for enrollment. Please pass legislation that says any private educational provider in the State of Wisconsin that is receiving public taxpayer dollars is no longer allowed to offer cash incentives in exchange for enrollment.
