Now is the time for Medicare for All
Congress
Our broken health care system is worsening. Trump and Republicans have gutted life saving programs like Medicaid and the ACA. As many as 17 million more people could lose their health care as a result, on top of 26 million people who are already uninsured.
Meanwhile, too many corporate-backed politicians continue to nibble around the edges of true health care reform. People are tired of the status quo and demand a bold solution that meets the moment. Now is the time for Democrats in Congress to organize and inspire! It’s time to fight for Medicare for All, and nothing less.
90% of Democratic voters and 63% of all voters support Medicare for All. Support for Medicare for All grows daily in our communities and in Congress. It’s our best path forward, and it’s rooted in real promise: everybody in, nobody out.
Some will attempt to distract from the promise of this moment with half measures that prop up the same systems we’re seeing fail under the weight of attacks by Trump and Republicans. Now is not the time for incremental changes that do not inspire and motive the majority of Americans. It’s time for the bold promise of a guaranteed system of truly comprehensive health care that every person in the United States deserves.
We urge members of Congress to meet the moment: Join the fight for Medicare for All.
