On August 20th Palantir officially moved its headquarters to Denver. Join Coloradans as we refuse to partner with Palantir!
The company Palantir is ICE’s technology backbone, providing the digital infrastructure to surveil, detain and deport immigrants. Palantir’s tools have been used to conduct mass workplace raids, including the biggest raid in US history in which 680 people were detained in Mississippi. In addition, Palantir provides the software that immigration agents use to pinpoint locations for arrest and monitor the border with Mexico.
The executives at Palantir try to distance themselves from our country’s human rights violations by claiming their particular software does not enable suffering. We know that is false! Palantir has misled the public about what their software does for immigration agents. Just as we hold our elected officials accountable for policies that hurt immigrants in Colorado, we also will not tolerate private corporations that attack our community and profit off of the pain of immigrants. We will not let Palantir profile our people and separate our families. The executives at Palantir have chosen a side, the side of enabling surveillance, violation of constitutional privacy, the side of family separation and tearing communities apart, the side of profiling from local police up to our military operations. We choose the people’s side.
As individuals, elected officials, organizations, faith communities and universities we pledge to protect civil liberties, human rights, peace and freedom by refusing to partner with Palantir, including in the following ways:
1) I will not support concessions or tax breaks from local governments
2) No Palantir employee will form part of our organization
3) We will not give Palantir a spot in our career fair
4) We will not accept donations or money from Palanti
5) I will not work for Palantir
