Sign The Pharmacy Guild's Petition for Safe Pharmacies
CVS, Walgreens Boots Alliance, National Association of Chain Drug Stores, and all corporate pharmacy operators
Your name will be included on this petition to the pharmacy industry. All other information will not be shared with the companies or publicly.
We, the undersigned patients, pharmacy professionals, and community allies, call on corporate pharmacy operators to recognize the dangers to patients and workers when pharmacies are understaffed.
These problems have grown to crisis proportions and require your immediate action to protect vulnerable patients and the dedicated pharmacy professionals who care for them. The industry must take these steps now :
1. Establish Safe Staffing Levels for Patient Safety
Protect patients from medication errors and long wait times by setting safe minimum staffing and transparent workload standards based on the needs of pharmacy professionals.
2. Improve Compensation to Recruit and Retain Qualified Pharmacy Staff
Invest in pharmacy safety by setting a minimum wage for pharmacy technicians at $25/hour with fair additional pay for experience and high-cost labor markets.3. Respect Pharmacy Professionals’ right to organize for Safe Pharmacies
Affirmatively respect the right of pharmacy professionals to organize for safe conditions by agreeing to: A) remain neutral when workers seek to unionize with The Pharmacy Guild, and B) recognize the union when a majority of eligible employees in a workplace indicate support. We will share this petition with:
