THESE GOALS ARE UNDER ATTACK AND ARE BEING THREATENED BY THE PROPOSED 22 ACRE LARGE SCALE DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERATING POWER PLANT (SOLAR) ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF AMAR AND GRAND.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED PETITION THE CITY OF WALNUT AS FOLLOWS:
The fundamental goal of the City of Walnut is protecting and preserving the beautiful open space of natural rolling hills and suburban character of small town charm. THESE GOALS ARE UNDER ATTACK AND ARE BEING THREATENED BY THE PROPOSED 22 ACRE LARGE SCALE DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERATING POWER PLANT (SOLAR) ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF AMAR AND GRAND.
We, the undersigned, oppose the destruction of Walnut’s natural hillsides where the Solar Power Generating Plant is planned.
We, the undersigned oppose the construction of any industrial scale solar generating power plants in the City of Walnut.
We, the undersigned strongly urge our City council to pass new zoning laws and/or ordinances prohibiting any industrial scale solar power generating plants in the city of Walnut.
