Protect Call Center Jobs on Staten Island!

Fanueil

The government contract that our CWA Local 1102 members at E-ZPass work under has just been awarded to a new company, Faneuil - and they've already announced the closure of the E-ZPass call center on Staten Island where over 300 of our members work and transitioning 60% of those positions to remote work. Right now, there is no guarantee those remote positions will go to any of the current workforce.

If our members lose their jobs, it will be a devastating loss for Staten Island. As 1102 member Hope Gilmore put it, "To not have a job, not be able to provide for my child is something I can’t imagine. To find out our jobs could go away, it’s going to be devastating for us and for customers."

We're fighting to secure a commitment from the company to keep our members employed, and we need your support! Sign the petition now to tell Fanueil: keep E-ZPass workers on Staten Island employed!

Keep E-ZPass workers on Staten Island employed!

If E-ZPass workers on Staten Island lose their jobs, it will be a devastating loss for for the community.

As CWA Local 1102 member Hope Gilmore put it, "To not have a job, not be able to provide for my child is something I can’t imagine. We’ve gone through this pandemic with this company. We’ve done so much. To find out our jobs could go away, it’s going to be devastating for us and for customers."

In addition to the personal impact on the current E-ZPass workforce, losing these positions could be disastrous for the community, and for E-ZPass customers with a new, less experienced workforce brought in.

The bottom line is simple: preserving the current workforce is the best option for the community, and for the company. We, the undersigned, strongly urge you to commit to preserving these jobs.
