Put Working Minnesotans Ahead of CEOs

Minnesota Legislators

The Minnesota Legislature is back in session. In this short session, lawmakers need to address key priorities like rebuilding our transportation infrastructure, paid family leave, providing kids with universal Pre-K, and extending unemployment benefits for working families on the Iron Range.

Sadly, House Republicans are already demanding more than a quarter billion dollars in corporate tax giveaways in exchange for granting an unemployment insurance extension to working families.

Please sign our petition to lawmakers. Tell them it’s time to put working people before corporate CEOs.

There isn’t a whole lot of time this session, and working people have urgent priorities that need to be addressed.

Our transportation and public infrastructure is in desperate need of repair.

More than 80 percent of Minnesotans are unable to take paid leave to take care of themselves or loved ones during an illness or birth or adoption of a child.

There’s an opportunity to begin addressing racial and economic disparities by making preschool available to every Minnesota child

Hundreds of working people on the Iron Range have seen their unemployment insurance run out.

Unfortunately, House Republicans are holding working families hostage by demanding more than a quarter billion dollars in corporate tax giveaways in exchange for extending unemployment insurance.

There isn’t time to play political games. Corporate CEOs don’t need a tax cut. It’s time to put Minnesota’s working people first.
