Tell Bennington College Management to Recognize Staff and Faculty's Labor Union!

Bennington College Management

A supermajority of Bennington college staff and faculty have come together to say “Yes!” to bargaining collectively to improve their work conditions, benefits, and wages. Even though a clear supermajority has signed their Union Authorization cards, and presented a Recognition Proposal Agreement to management on Monday November 6th, management still hasn’t agreed to recognize BCU.

We, the undersigned, are adding our names to this petition to demand management respect’s Bennington College worker’s rights to organize by recognizing Bennington College United as the chosen bargaining unit representing all eligible, currently non-unionized staff and faculty. We call on management to do the right thing!

Dear Bennington Administration team,

We the undersigned believe in the power of community. At Bennington College, the staff and faculty form the cornerstone of our community, working together every day to foster student growth, creativity, and fellowship.

Bennington College United, staff and faculty's newly formed union, will organize to improve the benefits, working conditions, wages, and equal opportunity for its staff and faculty, and will provide a stable bargaining platform for management to engage with workers as respectful equals. A supermajority of staff and faculty have signed union authorization cards, saying “Yes!” to collective bargaining, “Yes!” to equity, “Yes!” to transparency, and importantly, “Yes!” to one big union for all currently non-unionized, eligible Bennington staff and faculty.

On Monday November 6th, staff and faculty made their demand for recognition clear. Now, it is time for the Bennington College Administration to say “Yes!” to recognition.
