Jock Palfreeman is an Australian citizen who has served 11 years in a Bulgarian prison after being wrongly convicted of a crime in a sham trial. This fall, Jock was released on parole by the authorities but after an outcry from far-right extremists, Bulgaria's Prosectuor General, Sotir Tsatsarov, intervened.

As a result, Jock is confined to Sofia under order of the state and has had his passport confiscated. He now waits for the Bulgarian High Court to decide whether or not it should honour his parole or return him to prison and re-try his case. This is an unprecedented miscarriage of justice that has no basis in Bulgarian law.

We are calling on Mr. Tsatarov to honour Jock's parole, call off his parole review by the Bulgarian High Court, rescind the travel restrictions Jock is under, and immediately return his passport to him.
