Rep. Kim: Co-Sponsor the Medicare for All Act of 2021 (HR 1976)!

Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-3)

The COVID19 crisis has made it clear: we don’t live in a vacuum. None of us are secure unless all of us have guaranteed high-quality health care. We all benefit from living in a country where public health and people are prioritized, but every year, the for-profit health care industry spends hundreds of millions of dollars on lobbying so they can continue to deny us comprehensive health care.

Enough is enough. Our lives must come before massive corporate profit.

We must come together to guarantee health care as a human right.  We need Medicare For All.

On March 17th, Medicare For All was reintroduced in Congress by Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Debbie Dingell, and it is already co-sponsored by more than half of the Democratic caucus. Rep. Andy Kim is not yet on the list of co-sponsors. We need him to commit to supporting HR 1976 which aims  to transform our health care system for the better.

With the overturning of Roe vs. Wade by the Supreme Court, taking action to transform our health care system has become even more urgent. Abortion, reproductive care, and all medical care should be a right for all people in this country. Inaction can no longer be an option.

Tell Rep. Kim to support Medicare for All (HR 1976) and ensure that every person is guaranteed quality health care regardless of their ability to pay.

Rep. Kim, our current for-profit health care system puts millions of Americans into crushing debt. Before the pandemic, nearly 30 million Americans were uninsured – but even with insurance, millions more can’t afford their co-pays and deductibles. That is unacceptable. We must make Medicare For All a reality. Please sign on to co-sponsor the Medicare for All Act of 2021 (HR 1976) that guarantees healthcare to everyone in America as a human right.
Thank you.
