Respect School Workers - Honor All Contracts and Memorandums of Understanding

Shelby County School Board

Most workers at Shelby County Schools are underpaid, in many cases working without benefits or time off. These workers have had whole sections of their pre-merger Memorandums of Understanding and Contracts disregarded, after fighting for decades to win them.
Schools are at the heart of our County, and the values demonstrated by our schools ripple through the fabric of our community and our local economy. Shelby County Schools should not be permitted to pay poverty wages, deny needed benefits, reject workers voices and renounce fair Contract and MOU language.
