Health Care is under attack.

Republicans have already begun to take steps to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a public policy that has helped lower private health insurance premiums, made it so those with preexisting conditions can get coverage, and gave more than 33 million American access to health insurance that they didn’t have before.

But it’s not just the Affordable Care Act that they’re targeting. Republican leaders also are looking to gut popular programs that work, such as Medicare, which covers Americans 65 and older, and Medicaid, the program that covers children and families in need.
