The possibility that the Post Office may soon close both its Mount Pleasant and Upper Street branches in Islington, along with 113 others nationwide, is a huge blow for our community and many others across the UK.

We're calling on you to lobby the Post Office to reverse its plans to shut two of Islington's local post offices, Mount Pleasant and the Upper Street branch.

Closure of these key hubs will leave many Islington residents and businesses facing much longer journeys to find Post Office facilities.

The erosion of key services on our high streets must not be permitted - the Post Office chairman Nigel Railtan must work with the Labour government to find alternatives to these cuts.
