I oppose the plan to close Providence Hospital. Providence Hospital has been providing health care to the people of Washington, DC for over 150 years. The hospital is especially important for seniors and people with low income in Northeast Washington. I call on our public officials to do everything within their power to stop the $22 billion-a-year Ascension hospital chain from cutting services that are vital to the health care for our community.
