SFBOE Should Hold Emergency Meeting Before School Return

Dr. Matthews, President Lopez and Vice President Moliga,

Members of the public and all SFUSD students, families and staff have the right to demand an EMERGENCY MEETING of the BOE when circumstances require. Supt. Dr. Matthews, Board President Lopez and Vice-President Moliga are the people who would convene this meeting. Please share this petition with you community and share with anyone you know who is concerned!

As an SFUSD (parent/educator), I am writing to ask that the SFBOE hold an emergency meeting before the return to school on Monday January 3rd. Additionally, I ask the a representative of the Department of Public Health be present at the meeting to answer questions from the SFUSD community directly.

Doctors and public health experts are telling us that the chance of an asymptomatic person having COVID in SF right now may be 1 in 20.

SFUSD students, families and staff must have the opportunity to ask their questions and get answers so that they can make informed decisions about returning under surge conditions on January 3rd.
