When the New York Times editorial board says it's time to shut down the Benghazi committee, it's time. [1] Their statement followed Rep. Kevin McCarthy boasting to Sean Hannity that the Benghazi select committee was part of a strategy to erode Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. [2]

“Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right?” Mr. McCarthy said, adding, “But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today?”

Wasting over four million dollars on a partisan witch hunt is an unacceptable use of Congress' resources.
