  • Roughly half of all plastic ever made, was made in the last 20 years.
  • By 2050 the ocean is expected to contain more plastic than fish.
  • 1 million single use plastic bottles are sold every minute around the world.
  • Less than one fifth of all plastic is recycled globally.

If statistics like these make you SICK OF PLASTIC then sign our postcard, calling on producers and retailers to reduce the amount of plastic included in our shopping, by inputting your details on the right. We will then add your name to a physical postcard which will be hand delivered to the HQ of each of the Supermarkets mentioned.

Sick of Plastic Ireland is a community of activists from all over the country, united around one issue; that we are Sick of Plastic. We want to see changes implemented that make it easier to us to reduce our plastic footprint when shopping in your store.

We appreciate that this is not a straight forward issue, especially in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic but we are sending these postcards to let you know how strongly we feel on this issue.

In Ireland, each person generates 61 kg of plastic packaging waste per year and we are the largest producer of plastic packaging waste in Europe. This cannot continue. Sick of Plastic are here to demand change, for the health of our planet and all who live on it.

PLEASE implement the demands outlined on this postcard, for all of our sakes.

Yours Sincerely

Sick of Plastic Ireland
