U.S. law enforcement

Every day in America, adults and children are being bought and sold as slaves. Human trafficking is a $150 billon business and is the second-fastest growing criminal activity in the world' just under drug trafficking. Tony Talbott poignantly sums it up:

"It's all about the money. Human trafficking is insanely profitable. When you think about it, you can sell a kilo of heroin once; you can sell a 13-year-old girl 20 times a night, 365 days a year.

Victims can be found in hotels, restaurants, private homes, salons, truck stops, factories, farms. They are taken by coercion and held captive through emotional/physical abuse. Police guides and laws are in place, but they are not being enforced enough.

What can we do? Sign the petition, learn more about human trafficking, look for the signs, and know where to report your concerns.
