I am deeply concerned that Stop & Shop stores across Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island want to drastically cut workers health care, wages and benefits.

I stand with the 31,000 UFCW members who work in Stop & Shop stores who are on strike after months of contract negotiations.

These workers are our neighbors, the parents of our kids’ schoolmates and a vital part of our communities.

Stop & Shop’s parent corporation, Ahold Delhaize, raked in more than $2 billion in profits last year and they got a $225 million tax cut in 2017. You can do much better by your workers and by our communities.

I support good jobs and dignity for working people and call on the corporate executives at Ahold Delhaize to do right by their workers.
