The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution could not be more clear: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
We have freedom of religion, as well as freedom from religion. It is what the Founding Fathers intended, and it has protected America from religious tyranny.
But right-wing evangelical Christians want to impose their religious views in our government, and have no respect for a separation of church and state that made this country great.
