Paid family leave. If you need time off to have a child or care for a sick family member, you shouldn't have to lose your job or go broke taking unpaid leave.

Most developed countries give workers some minimum paid family leave. California has had paid family leave via payroll deduction, and it has helped 1.8 million workers (90% of whom used it to take care of a new baby) without hurting businesses or killing jobs.
