The rich are enjoying unprecedented levels of wealth while working families are struggling to keep up with the cost of living. It’s time we say, “Enough is enough!”

Senators Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) have introduced a Millionaires Surtax proposal that would begin to do just that. The Millionaires Surtax would increase taxes on the richest 0.2%. The other 99.8% of us won’t pay a cent more. This modest tax increase is estimated to raise $635 billion over 10 years that can be used to invest in critical services for working families.
We can’t sit by while income inequality continues to grow, and greed starves the critical social programs and services we depend on.
